Cactus police search for driver in hit-and-run fatality

Cactus Police Department detectives are looking for the driver of a vehicle who struck and killed a pedestrian and then fled the scene.

Moore County Crime Stoppers said the driver hit a 60-year-old man Friday at about 11:10 p.m. in the area of Center Drive and Clara Street. The vehicle is a light-colored four-door passenger vehicle or a light-colored four-door SUV. The driver fled west on Center Drive, and the vehicle could have extensive damage to the front end, according to Crime Stoppers.

Crime Stoppers has made the hit-and-run its Crime of the Week and is asking anyone with information to call 806-935-8477 or go to the free app P3 Tips. You also can go to www.P3tips.com. If your information leads to the recovery of the vehicle or the arrest of the suspect, you could be paid up to $1,000.
